How Your Food is Made

All of the products manufactured at Sunny Valley Wheat Free are made on-site daily solely by the use of human hands and arms, a 20 quart Hobart, 2 Kitchen Aids and a cheap $3.00 hand mixer that the owner bought somewhere a few years ago.

After manually prepping raw ingredients, we make all of our products in small batches to ensure a quality product from start to finish. We are way too busy cooking to list all of the steps involved in preparing your food, but here are a few examples: we crack endless amounts of eggs, peel and grate the carrots for carrot cake, zest and juice the citrus for our lemony chicken meal and scones, manually sheet and cut our cracker dough and pastas, tamp the pastry dough in individual tart pans for pies and quiches, even hand-fill and press our famous raviolis—twelve at a time. You get the idea.

After the cooking or baking process is complete, your product is cooled, cut, sliced or portioned, then packed and labeled (once again using human hands and arms) in our facility to ensure no risk of cross contamination should you purchase a Sunny Valley Wheat Free product somewhere other than our retail store in Maple Valley, WA.

When all that important stuff is done, we head over to the sink to wash, sanitize, dry and put away all the pots, pans, utensils and other implements used to create your delicious gluten-free product, so we are ready to go the next day.

If we ever greet you with flour on our faces or bread dough in our hair, now you know why. However, we better still be nice to you or the owner wants to hear about it!

A 100% dedicated gluten-free facility.
